ARA Signed a Letter to Senate, House Committees on National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Act

On June 3, ARA signed a letter to leaders of the Senate and House Committees on Appropriations opposing any effort add language to the Fiscal Year 2021 Agriculture Appropriations bill that would undermine the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Act by targeting bioengineered salmon or any other biotechnology product.
Given the unprecedented damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 20 organizations came together to urge against adding additional regulatory ambiguity that may further delay the legislation's passage.
