ARA-DOT Webinar: Nurse Tank Safety Advisory Discussion
This webinar includes information regarding the recent Nurse Tank Safety Advisory issued by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Presenters discussed the Safety Advisory in detail, focusing on anhydrous ammonia nurse tanks, as well as testing methods recommended by the Advisory. The webinar also includes information on what to do if a nurse tank fails one of these tests and how to repair a nurse tank (if repairs are authorized).

FIFRA 101: An Intro to the Complex Landscape of Pesticide Laws & Regulations
ARA and lawyers from member firm Faegre Drinker hosted a webinar introduction to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and the use of pesticides in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. This webinar provides an overview of important regulations and requirements affecting nearly every part of ag retail, from pesticide registration, labeling, and packaging to applicator and end-user responsibilities. Learn about the potential pitfalls of non-compliance, including site inspections, fines, and potential litigation risks.

National Cover Crop Survey Report
ARA hosted a National Cover Crop Survey Report Webinar on March 18 with the purpose of amplifying the data collected in the 2023 cover crop survey as well as to open lines of discussion between ag retailers and researchers on the benefits of cover crops and their efficacy.
Webinar speakers include:
- Ryan Heiniger, executive director of the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC);
- Rob Myers, Director of the University of Missouri Center for Regenerative Agriculture and a Professor of Plant Sciences; and
- Andy Lavigne, President and CEO of the American Seed Trade Association.
Entry Level Driver Training Support Webinar
ARA and ACE hosted a webinar Jan. 30 to launch a new member service to help its membership effectively train more drivers to meet the Entry Level Driver Training requirements set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
About the member service: ARA partnered with the National Propane Gas Association's Administrative Compliance Experts (ACE) Services to offer the resources needed to cut through the red tape, save money, and train more drivers. Serving as the FMCSA Registered Training Provider, ACE handles:
- FMCSA paperwork and filings
- FMCSA audits
- Training materials and training equipment guidance to meet FMCSA requirements so that the behind-the-wheel training can be done in-house with a qualified instructor.
