ARA Joins Letter of Support for Robert Primus as New STB Chair

Following the retirement of STB Chairman Marty Oberman, ARA joined an agricultural industry coalition in a May 10, 2024, letter to President Biden expressing strong support for the designation of Robert Primus as the new Chairman of the Surface Transportation Board (STB).
Primus has been a pro-active board member of the STB these past three years pushing to improve rail service, create more rail-to-rail competition, and develop a more streamlined method for freight rail customers to challenge unreasonable rates.
