ARA Signs a Coalition Letter Regarding Disruptive Rail Service Problems on the CSX Rail Network

ARA signs a Rail Customer Coalition letter to Chairman Thune and Ranking Member Nelson of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and to Chairman Shuster and Ranking Member DeFazio of the House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The letter highlights the serious and disruptive rail service problems that have been experienced on the CSX rail network. These include major service changes imposed with little notice, missed switches and poor communication from CSX. The CSX service failures have had a much greater impact on the industry because many businesses are captive customers and do not have any choice when it comes to their rail service provider.
