ARA Signs Letter Supporting RETAIN GPS and Satellite Communications Act

ARA and the undersigned organizations commend Congress for providing relief to critical stakeholders impacted by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) decision that allowed Ligado Networks LLC to interfere with essential GPS and satellite communications used by farmers, truck drivers, first responders, and others.
The Recognizing and Ensuring Taxpayer Access to Infrastructure Necessary (RETAIN) for GPS and Satellite Communications Act introduced on June 29 will ensure costs incurred by the public sector, businesses and consumers are footed by Ligado.
