Letter Urging Strong Mental Health Support Funding
Apr 26 2024
ARA along with ag and rural health professional organizations urge strong, continued funding for the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) in appropriation packages. While the program has proved successful, more support is needed for the more than 60 percent of rural residents living in areas with mental health professional shortages.
ARA and the undersigned organizations call for no less than $10 million for FRSAN funding in the FY 2025 agriculture appropriations bill.
FRSAN is a program that supports a service provider network that connects individuals and their families engaged in farming, ranching, and other agriculture-related occupations to stress assistance programs and resources.
