ARA Co-Signed Letters to Congress, Biden Administration Supporting Crop Insurance Programs

ARA co-signed letters sent to the U.S. House and Senate Committees for Budget and Appropriations as well as to the U.S Department of Agriculture and the Office of Management and Budget. Each letter was urging Congress and the Biden administration to protect crop insurance programs from harmful cuts as the fiscal year 2023 budget proposal is being developed.

The letters cite the challenges facing rural America as a reason to continue the crop insurance safety net as one of the few certainties farmers can rely upon. Crop insurance and its links to conservation further ensure the program is a good investment for taxpayers.
