ARA Convenes Annual Conference
Nov 28 2023
The Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) kicked off its 2023 Conference & Expo with more than 600 agricultural retail industry professionals convening to share knowledge, network, and celebrate more than 30 years of ARA.
“I am excited to welcome you to this week’s insightful sessions and networking opportunities as the leading voices in ag retail gather at another ARA Conference,” says 2022-2023 ARA Board Chair Ian McGregor with The McGregor Company. “This year’s theme of ‘Launching the Future of Ag Retail’ will be reflected as speakers share new approaches to relieving pressure from the most pressing challenges facing our industry.”
Today’s special events such as the ARA Invitational Golf Tournament and Alligator Airboat & Wildlife tour offered participants a taste of Orlando. The Pre-Conference Session on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Draft Herbicide Strategy, led by Leah Duzy and Ashlea Frank representing Compliance Services International and the FIFRA Endangered Species Task Force, officially kicked off the week’s educational sessions.
“It was important to start with a topic like the EPA’s draft herbicide strategy because it could drastically impact the tools available to ag retailers and their farmer customers,” says ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock. “ARA plays a critical role in being the voice of ag retailers as regulations with the potential for such sweeping impact on agriculture are being developed.”
This afternoon’s opening reception in the Expo Hall will be a must-attend opportunity for attendees to build connections and discover valuable services and products to take their business to the next level.
Tomorrow’s keynote and breakout session speakers will equip attendees with actionable takeaways on how to recruit and retain the next-generation workforce, how to prepare for potential disasters, and how to get things done when you already have too much on your plate.
