Sen. Grassley Visits Asmus Farm Supply in Iowa

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, visited the facility of ARA member Asmus Farm Supply in Rake, Iowa, on July 7, 2022.
Senator Grassley led a Q&A session with 22 members of the local community including growers, county supervisors, local IT professionals, bankers and AFS personnel. Senator Grassley also toured the Asmus Farm Supply facility.
Topics discussed related to the ag industry included:
- rural broadband;
- rural emergency response;
- federal crop insurance policy; and
- disaster relief policy.

We also involved multiple stakeholders from the local businesses which lead to a more broad discussion and really highlighted how many issues affect ag. It also showed that in rural Iowa, ag and ag retail truly need to work as a community."
