ARA Filed Comments to EPA on Application Exclusion Zone
May 12 2023
ARA filed comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) opposing the agency's reconsideration of the Application Exclusion Zones (AEZ) as they are not justified by the most recent incident data and would be duplicative and overly burdensome.
Current Worker Protection Standards (WPS) already require handlers and applicators to take the necessary steps to ensure bystanders and other unauthorized persons are not exposed to pesticide applications, according to ARA comments.
