ARA Signed PPC Comments to EPA on Glyphosate ESA Biological Evaluation
Mar 12 2021
ARA signed on to comments send to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a member of the Pesticide Policy Coalition (PPC) to express concerns over glyphosate's biological evaluation as it relates to the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
The Coalition states that before EPA considers further label restrictions for any reason, EPA should ensure ensure it has reliably evaluated the benefits of continued availability of any affected products. The glyphosate biological evaluation (BE) fails to incorporate best available science and lacks quantitative weight of evidence approach which are critical to a reliable assessment of possible species risk.
Read the coalition comments to read specific areas of concern with the BE.
