ARA Comments to EPA Regarding Low Volatility Dicamba Registration
Jun 03 2024
On May 3, 2024, EPA published a notice for comment on Bayer CropScience’s application for registration of a low-volatility dicamba formulation for use in dicamba-tolerant soybeans and dicamba-tolerant cotton.
This pesticide is one of the best tools available for weed control as invasive weeds threaten farmers’ yields. On February 6, 2024, a federal court in Arizona vacated the EPA’s 2020 registration decision for over-the-top dicamba products based on procedural grounds, finding the agency “did not follow the FIFRA notice-and-comment provisions.”
ARA and other agricultural organizations have submitted comments to EPA urging approval of this product registration.
